Our Mission
At Helicon Project, we believe education should be about more than grades and exams. It should build confidence, curiosity, and resilience for school and for life. We work with students aged 11–18, supporting key academic stages from secondary school transitions through GCSEs, A-levels, and beyond.
Founded by experienced educators with backgrounds in both academia and private tuition, Helicon Project draws on years of classroom teaching and one-to-one support. This dual experience allows us to combine proven academic methods with a modern, personalised approach. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all learning — every student is different, and our teaching reflects that.
While achievement matters, wellbeing always comes first. Young people face increasing pressure, so we place equal emphasis on confidence, mindset, and emotional development alongside academic progress. Our sessions are structured, supportive, and encouraging, helping students feel capable rather than overwhelmed.
We don’t just prepare students for exams — we help them believe in their ability to succeed. Helicon Project represents education as a journey of growth and creativity, and our role is to guide, challenge, and support each student’s potential. Whether your child needs exam support or a confidence boost, we’re here to help.
Chris, Founder of The Helicon Project
I hold undergraduate and postgraduate degrees from Oxford and London and have spent over a decade in academia before moving into private tuition in 2019. Through that experience, I saw firsthand where traditional education often falls short — gaps in creativity, challenge, and genuine fulfilment. That inspired me to create Helicon Project, where learning is not just about exams, but about building confidence, curiosity, and resilience. I understand the pressure your child faces to succeed, and my goal is to support them in the healthiest, most effective way possible, helping them thrive both academically and personally.
